Gorica is a popular picnic spot and a true paradise for nature lovers and recreationists alike. The hill is crisscrossed by well-maintained hiking, cycling, and fitness trails that offer stunning views of the city from the top. At the foot of Gorica lies the church of St. Đorđe, which dates back to the 10th century and is the oldest Christian place of worship in Montenegro. The hill itself is also home to a monument to a Partisan fighter, with a mausoleum-like character. The entire complex is built of white stone originating from the area, adding to its charm.
One of the highlights of Gorica is the Mediterranean garden, located on the hilltop. Here, you’ll find an array of Mediterranean trees, medicinal herbs, and fruits, making it a must-visit for botany enthusiasts. In addition, there are sports fields, an open-air gym, and a soccer field with artificial grass located on the hill. At the foot of the hill is the city stadium Budućnost, which is also worth a visit.
